Role:
Undergraduate Student

Georgia Institute of Technology, IBB 1203
Education:

Pursuing B.S in Biochemistry, Georgia Institute of Technology, Atlanta, GA

Research Interests:

My responsibilities are to help maintain the COOL website, including reviewing and highlighting COOL publications to feature on the Discoveries page. In addition, I am researching the use of proteases to minimize the E. coli ribosome. The core of the ribosome is a focus of study in the origin of life since the universal ribosomal proteins at the core are conserved across all three domains. Ultimately the goal is to access the activity of the minimized ribosome to obtain structural and functional information that could provide insight into the history and development of biology on Earth.
