Pursuing B.S. in Biomedical Engineering, Minor in Biochemistry, Georgia Institute of Technology, Atlanta, GA

Research Interests:

My responsibilities include aiding in the analysis of the evolutionary trajectory of RNA and proteins from primordial polymer sequences. I am currently working with a combinational MATLAB algorithm that generates a database of masses and fragments for a mixture of amino acids and alpha-hydroxy acid-containing depsipeptides of certain lengths. To move the project forward, I am generalizing the algorithm to operate in the positive ionization mode for MS/MS and to expand the algorithm for use in other classes of molecules. This research provides insight into how chemical evolution may have occurred on prebiotic Earth.
