Research Interests:
My goal is to combine by degree in Evolutionary Biology with my master’s in synthetic biology by answering evolutionary questions with synthetic techniques. At the moment, my current focus is trying to recreate ancestral states of the ribosome and evolving it. Not only does this tell us how it might have actually functioned, it will show us the potential evolutionary paths it did not go down due to so many different reasons.
